Referring Lawyers

The strength of our relationships with our clients is vital to our mutual success and our progress here at JHPII. As important are our relationships with referring lawyers. We still greet you with a firm handshake. We practice law with that same honorable mindset. Our approach allows everyone – JHPII, referring lawyers and our mutual clients – to benefit from the strength of those relationships. Clients benefit from the strengths each lawyer brings to their case, as well as the strength of open and collaborative effort.

Practicing lawyers know that every case is unique and has its own unique challenges. Cases often require up-front costs, both time and money. Lawyers choose to partner with and refer cases to us because they want what’s best for their client, to improve their client’s outcome. Knowing this, every colleague here readily assists referring lawyers and our mutual clients, to ensure they always receive prompt, polite and genuine help.

Elizabeth Crocker, a veteran at JHPII, acts as our Referring Lawyer Liaison. One of Elizabeth’s roles is to address the needs of referring lawyers. Although Elizabeth helps with cases firmwide, a large portion of her time and attention is focused on Whistleblower cases because of their complexity. Elizabeth understands the appreciable role referring lawyers play in our firm’s success and that sound communication is fundamental to our mutual success.

As Elizabeth puts it, “We’re grateful for the referrals. That someone thought enough of us and did the work to help her client be here, where her client truly belongs, is a tribute to the referring lawyer and ultimately a win for everyone involved.”

At JHPII we’re mindful that each case is unique and has unique needs. As a result, we’ve implemented a system that provides reliable access to referring lawyers and their clients on a case by case basis. Referring lawyers and their clients receive intake packets immediately after their initial contact with the firm. Throughout the case, we provide regular updates and ongoing support.

Like Elizabeth said, “We ensure referring lawyers know the status of their client’s case.  It in turn ensures they’re comfortable referring future clients too.”

We work closely with referring lawyers to ensure all credit is rightly assigned to lawyers partnering with us. We send fee-sharing letters to referring lawyers, as well as regular updates, ensuring referring lawyers are compensated for their work and for partnering with us at JHPII. At JHPII we are grateful for the opportunity to change peoples’ lives. For the better.

The bottom-line. We’re here to help people. To change things for the better. For them.
